we were reading an article about how dunkin donuts has the best coffee of any store hands down, so i searched online for the nearest dunkin donuts…
nothing in CA or any surrounding states…grr…but somehow i started thinking about mister donut (yum! it’s a huge donut/coffee chain in japan)…so i did some random web surfing and found out that gasp! dunkin donuts and mister donut are related! mister donut is now one of the fastest growing chains in asia, with stores all over the philippines, taiwan, china (i practically lived at the shanghai one when i was there a few years ago), and of course japan, where it started…sort’a.

ok, so this reminded me of beard papa, another yummy japanese chain that sells *fresh* cream puffs! they’re already expanding into the u.s., mainly on the east coast, but gasp! look! they’re coming to L.A.! alice & i searched and searched for these when we were in japan and we finally found one the day before we left. yum! woohoo! i can’t wait!
